New video is giving an inside look at specialized crews using a helicopter technique known as short-haul in their efforts fighting the Babylon Fire burning in San Juan County.

The victim was identified Monday as 56-year-old Nicholas Dale, a federally contracted fire aviation pilot from Sooke, British Columbia.

Authorities say an aircraft helping to fight a Colorado wildfire has crashed into a reservoir, killing the pilot.
