29 years ago today, the Brady Bill was enacted into law after years of advocacy by our namesakes Jim and Sarah Brady. The Brady Bill established our nation's background check system on gun sales. To date, Brady Background Checks have blocked 4.5M prohibited gun sales. However, 1 in 5 guns are still sold without a Brady Background Check.
