Al Merrick was inducted into the Surfing Walk of Fame today in Huntington Beach, right in front of @jackssurfboards on Main St. A true shaping icon, Al stood humbly at the podium and gave thanks to the people and moments that helped carve his path. The Merrick family was front row for it all, and his son Britt stayed after to catch up with old friends, sign posters of the two of them shaping, and just soaking it all in with those that came to pay their respects. A proper day for a proper legend.
