Chain of Command in Construction isn’t optional. I’ve seen Architects and Owners walk a site, talk directly to the crew, and casually suggest something. The crew hears direction and starts doing it. Now the Plan’s blown up. The Scope gets fuzzy. The Foremen look blindsided. And the PM has his hand out for a Change Order. Sure you can learn the difference between a Chiller and a VAV or a Transformer and a Switch Gear from a text book.
